RPC Dundee is extending its opening hours to offer more flexibility, more choice and more opportunities for visitors to start their day in a positive way. The changes have been made after listening to feedback from Active Dundee gym customers.
From Monday, 6 April, RPC Dundee will open from 6:30am, Monday to Friday, providing early access to a refreshed and expanded programme to help people discover new activities and make the most of centre's facilities. These improvements will make RPC Dundee more accessible and welcoming for visitors and Active Dundee members with busy routines.
Scott Urquhart, Head of Leisure, Sport and Physical Activity Services at Active Dundee said,
"We are excited to welcome everyone bright and early from Monday, 6 April. Whether you want to train, unwind, compete or try something new, our team is here to help you start your day in the best way."
New Strength & Conditioning Suite Access
The Strength & Conditioning Suite will be available from 6:30am-8am on weekdays. Due to the specialist nature of this training environment and the equipment available, we recommend that this space is used by members who are already experienced in functional fitness and freeweight training.
This gym features minimal cardio and pinloaded machines and is primarily equipped with functional tools such as medicine balls, wall balls, power bags, dumbbells, barbells, and other freeweight equipment. For your safety and to ensure the best training experience, we advise that members using this facility are confident working independently and ideally following a structured training programme.
No booking is required and visitors can simply turn up, check in at reception and train.
Outdoor Running Track Available from 06:30
RPC Dundee's outdoor running track will now be available from 6:30am on weekdays for those who prefer an energising pre-work run. Visitors can simply turn up, check in and get running.
New Pilates Experiences with Scenic Morning Views
Two new Pilates classes led by popular instructor Ali. These sessions will take place in the venue's meeting rooms with panoramic views. Bookings for Pilates classes open via the Active Dundee app from Monday 30th March.
Enhanced Functional Training Options
Visitors and Active Dundee members can now enjoy earlier access to RPC Dundee's functional training offer. This includes HYROX classes at Active 9BX and Open Gym options that can be booked through the Active Dundee app.
Early Morning Racket Sports
Racket sports will be available earlier on selected mornings, with dedicated times for pickleball and badminton. Visitors may drop in to play and the team at RPC Dundee encourages advance booking so that staff can prepare courts for a prompt 6:30am start.
