We've enjoyed two fantastic recent family events, bringing children and parents together through play, movement, learning and community connection.
Active Tots recently collaborated with TinyTalk Dundee to deliver a fun and engaging Play, Sign & Grow session for families with babies and children aged 0–5 years.
Hosted with an exciting Under the Sea theme, the session combined active play, music, movement, imaginative adventures and early communication through signing, creating a memorable experience for both children and their grown-ups.
Led by Active Tots coaches Megan and Alison alongside Dianne from TinyTalk Dundee, the activities encouraged physical development, supported early language and communication skills, and promoted quality parent-child interaction through play and signing.
From swimming like sea creatures to singing favourite songs and exploring the ocean through movement and imagination, families enjoyed a morning full of learning, laughter and discovery in a welcoming and supportive environment.

We were also pleased to host a special event for the Tayside Diabetes Family Group, part of Diabetes Scotland, at Douglas Sports Centre on Saturday 20 June.
Active Tots coaches Chloe and Martin delivered two energetic activity sessions featuring dance, football and playground games, while younger children enjoyed soft play activities.
The event brought together children living with Type 1 diabetes and their families, providing an excellent opportunity to connect with others, have fun and enjoy being active together in a supportive setting.
It was wonderful to see so many families taking part, making new friendships and enjoying a positive day filled with activity, laughter and community spirit.
Both events reflect our commitment to creating inclusive opportunities that support children's development, encourage active lifestyles and help families build connections within their local community.
By combining physical activity with learning, social interaction and fun, Active Dundee continues to provide experiences that help children grow in confidence while creating lasting memories for families across the city.
