Getting Started
Uniform: Each team member should have their own team shirt with logo and if possible, numbers on the back. We currently use a local supplier for our own tops so if you require the contact, please email davie.mackenzie@leisureandculturedundee.com
For swimming, please wear either swim trunks or a one-piece bathing suit. Active Dundee will provide swim caps for the swimming event. There will be 2 groups of 8 companies, once companies are confirmed you will be informed which group you are in
Training: There will be training sessions provided prior to each event. More details will be provided in the full FAQs.

Fitness Challenge

Doubles Relay:

Scoring:
- Teams will complete the Doubles Relay in a timed format
- Teams must complete all exercises and time stops when 100th Wall Ball is complete
- Leaderboard positions will be determined by time taken to complete the Relay

Pickleball
Date:

Location:
Regional Performance Centre (RPC) Sports Hall
Team size:
Mixed Doubles (2 males / 2 females)
Format:
- 8 courts
- 16 Pairs – Mixed (Can be a mixed pair or a gendered pair) split into two groups of 8.
- Within in each group, all pairs play each other once (7 Games split over the time period)
- First to 9 wins (must win by two clear points)
Scoring:
- 3 points for a win, 1 point for a loss.
- After the event there will be a League 1 and a League 2 winner. *If times are tight - we will resort to timed games.

Additional Information:
- Participants are advised to arrive 30 minutes before the event starts for registration and warm-up
- Fixtures will be umpired by Active Dundee coaches, their decision is final
- To ensure fixtures are fulfilled and not forfeited, teams may utilise players from other organisations where required. Any match in which an external player is used will incur a 2-point penalty applied to the team, per player.
Swimming

Team size:
8 (4 Males/4 Females) - 1 team member nominated to each individual event, 1 relay team (2 Males/2 Females)
Event List:
- 4 x 50m Freestyle Relay
- 50m Backstroke (Male)
- 50 Backstroke (Female)
- 100m Individual Medley (Female)
- 100m Individual Medley (Male)
- 50m Breaststroke (Female)
- 50m Breaststroke (Male)
- 50m Freestyle (Female)
- 50m Freestyle (Male)
- 4 x 50m Mixed Freestyle Relay
Scoring:
Points will be awarded for both individual and relay events. All individual events will be scored 10-1 & Relay events will be scored double 20-2. Failure to field a swimmer for any event will be scored as last place. The final standings will be scored as an accumulation of points from all Male, Female & Mixed events. In the event of a points tie, the best Mixed Relay team time will be the tie-breaker.
Disqualifications:
There will be a number of judges at the event and the following infractions will result in the athlete being disqualified from that event and no points being awarded (referees decision is final):
- Starting before the starting signal
- Not touching the wall at each end (Turn and Finish)
- Not completing the distance of the event
- Wrong stroke being swum
- Any unsporting behaviour
- Not surfacing before 15m from each end
- Early take-offs in relays

Table Tennis

Team size:
6 Team Members (3 Males/3 Females) - 1 x Male Doubles, 1 Female Doubles & 1 Mixed Doubles
Format:
- Teams will compete in a single league format consisting of 10 teams. Each team will play every other team once, resulting in a total of 9 matches per team. Final standings will be determined by the overall league table at the end of the competition.
- Each match will consist of three games: Male Doubles, Female Doubles, and Mixed Doubles (failure to meet requirements for individual games - will result in a forfeit of that specific game)
- The preliminary Leagues, order of play and fixture lists will be provided on the event evening
Scoring:
- Each games is played to 11 points, following standard table tennis scoring system
- League positions will be determined by the number of accumulated match points (1 point per game won - matches will be scored 3-0 or 2-1)
- League positions will be determined by total game points won, then points for scored, followed by head-to-heads as a tie-breaker

Additional Information:
- Participants are advised to arrive 30 minutes before the event starts for registration and warm-up
- All equipment, including table tennis bats and balls, will be provided
- Participants should wear non-marking indoor footwear (no black soles)
- During Training sessions, each team will be allocated a minimum of 2 tables. Coaches from Active Dundee will be on hand to offer any advice on rules, scoring & coaching points
Football
Date:

Regional Performance Centre (RPC), Indoor Pitch
Team size:
7 to 10, teams must have NO more than 5 people of each gender on the pitch at any one time
Format:
- Teams will be divided into 2 Leagues, followed by a Top (1-6) & Bottom (7-12) half Group Stage to determine final standings (may change, depending on teams registered)
- Leagues & Fixtures will be determined on the event evening by a random draw
- Teams will play each other in a timed format (8 minutes per fixture)
- There will be no sliding tackles / going to ground
- Players cannot enter the box, goal keepers must remain in their box
Scoring:
- Teams will play to the timed format, scores at the end of the 8 minutes will be the final result
- Teams will be award 3pts for a win. In the event of a draw there will be sudden death penalties. Penalty win will be awarded 2pts and a penalty loss will be awarded 1pt.
- League positions will be determined by total points won, then goals scored as a decider followed by head-to-heads as a tie-breaker (if need be)
Spectating:
Spectating is available, pitch side in the Indoor Football Pitch
Additional Information:
- Participants are advised to arrive 30 minutes before the event starts for registration and warm-up
- Fixtures will be refereed by SFA / Active Dundee Referees, their decision is final
- Teams should arrive up to 30 mins prior to the event start time, to warm up & confirm order of play
- NO metal studs to be worn
- Shin pads are advised
Netball

Team size:
5 to 10, teams must have NO more than 4 people of each gender on the court at any one time
Format:
- Teams will compete in a single league format consisting of 10 teams. Each team will play every other team once, resulting in a total of 9 matches per team. Final standings will be determined by the overall league table at the end of the competition.

Scoring:
- Teams will be awarded points for each individual event (1-10)
- Leader board positions will be determined by accumulated points awarded
